Ping Rapture V2 Irons

For a maximum forgiveness iron, the multi-metal Rapture V2 delivers. Its tungsten sole weight, titanium face and stainless steel body produce longer, higher launching shots. At impact, the sensation of solid contact is equaled only by a feeling of satisfaction after your ball finds the green.

Engineered to bring golfers maximum forgiveness, the Rapture V2 iron relies on multi-metal technology to launch the ball longer, higher and with more accuracy. A dense, tungsten sole weight positions the center of gravity low and away from the face to optimize the launch conditions. An innovation made possible by the lightweight titanium face that frees weight for where it’s needed most—low and on the perimeter. The high launch angle allows for stronger lofts so golfers can generate greater distance without sacrificing control. The Custom Tuning Port stabilizes the titanium face to help ensure a solid feel and consistency.

Multi-metal technology
A tungsten sole weight, titanium face and stainless steel body combine to create a maximum forgiveness iron that delivers higher launching, longer carrying shots.

Tungsten Sole Weight
A visible tungsten weight (22% of the head’s mass, 16% volume) on the wide sole helps position the center of gravity low and farther back for higher launching shots.

Titanium face
The lightweight titanium face represents 21% of the head’s volume but only 13% of the head’s mass which frees more weight for the perimeter and  sole in the form of tungsten.

Deeper cavity and Custom Tuning Port
The depth of the cavity creates a wider sole for added forgiveness. The wall thickness and position of the Custom Tuning Port (CTP) stabilizes the entire titanium face to help ensure solid, consistent results.
