The larger head size

of the G5 fairway woods offers improved weight placement for a high moment of inertia and improved stability, forgiveness and control. This internal weighting is optimized for each loft, moving the center of gravity further from the face as the loft increases. This provides more control, spin and lift in the higher lofted woods, and greater distance in the lower lofted woods.

Like all PING metal woods,

the G5 Fairway Woods have precision-milled faces for increased performance, including higher ball speed for greater distance, better sound and a "hotter" feel. Made from high strength 455 stainless steel, the face is robotically plasma welded to the body of the club for increased consistency and durability.

The larger head size maximizes inertia for added forgiveness. A thinner crescent-moon graphic aids in alignment.

The strength of the 455 stainless steel allows for a thinner, more responsive surface area for maximum distance.

Internal weight pads provide optimal positioning of the center of gravity throughout the set. As loft increases, the pads progress toward the back of the club for added control and spin.
