What is the "Stack & Tilt" golf swing?

The "stack and tilt" golf swing is the hottest swing on the PGA tour. It is currently being used by over 20 touring pros including names like Aaron Baddeley, and Mike Wier. Why would a touring pro, who has a well tuned golf swing change their golf swing? This is a very good question. I think the best answer to this question is that it works! It is very simple in nature, and it produces a more compact, crisp swing, with less moving parts. It makes it easier to make consistent contact with the sweet spot of the golf club. This in turn produces straighter, longer, and a more consistent golf swing. Sounds like a swing most weekend golfers should be using. The ironic part is that it goes against all conventional modern day teaching theory's.

The basics of the "Stack &Tilt' golf swing is that you set up with the weight predominantly on your lead foot. Left foot, for right hand golfers, and right foot for left hand golfers. The set up is a 60/40 weight distribution at address, with the 60% of your weight being placed on the lead foot. As you begin your take away, concentrate on placing more weight on the lead foot. You should have a 80/20 weight distribution at the top of your back swing. 80% of your weight should be on the lead foot at the top of the back swing. You basically are not transferring your weight. The weight stays on the lead foot throughout the swing.
