Quite possibly the most consistent and forgiving irons I've ever hit and I've hit them all. While they may not be as long as the x2 hot, speedblades, jpx ez, xtd's etc etc you must also first account for their jacked up lofts and lengths. What stood out to me the most with the G25's was how consistent the distance was across the face versus the other irons I mentioned. For example if I hit the g25 7 iron on the toe or heel it would travel 150 yards and stay pretty much on its intended line. If I hit it in the center it would travel 157 yards and dead at my target. my issue with the other iron sets I mentioned was 7 iron toe and heel it would travel 150 yards and stay pretty much on its intended line but when I hit it in the sweet spot it would go 165-170 yards. While that sounds great I'm not a good enough golfer to rely on me hitting the sweet spot every time. the ping shot worst case would end up on the back of the green or leave me a straightforward chip while the other sets left me a more difficult up and down. That starts to add up over 18 holes. that really was the deciding factor when I ended up purchasing the set. In addition I love that the offered a 5-PW makeup since I don't carry a 4 iron and use a hybrid instead. If you are a good ball striker then you will be happy with the other sets I tested however if your a 15 handicap like me then the G25's will serve you well. make sure you take advantage of pings fitting system as well and these irons will make you a more consistent player. If money isn't an object then you should seriously consider the Karsten irons. they are basically are super size version of the G25's, massive clubheads. hope this review helps.

brett brewster - Heavy club but great irons   October 22, 2013

These are the exact irons I use and I love them. I like the look and feel to them but the are on the heavier side. If you buy a set then you must go to the range. I decided not to do that and the first 2-3 rounds I played were the worst I have ever played. Once I got use to them they were perfect. I give them a 9-10!!!
