Ping i20 Hybrid

The stainless steel i20 hybrids have a small, compact head shape that is neutral and sets up square for easy alignment. Perimeter weighting ensures a high MOI and the low-deep CG helps launch the ball from tight lies or heavy grass with optimal trajectory to stop the ball on the green. Workability comes from a low MOI about the shaft axis, allowing the golfer to shape shots with confidence. A dramatic matte-black finish on the i20s eliminates glare and reflections to help golfers focus. Available in 17º, 20º and 23º lofts. Shafts: TFC 707H (R, S, X)

Insider Review -   May 15, 2012

These dark-and-diminutive stainless steel hybrids are best for better golfers who want to work the ball. The low-and-deep CG helps the ball travel high and land soft – they’re very playable from pretty much any lie. Not only is this clubhead shorter from head to toe and from front to back, but the leading edge is squarer than previous PING hybrids, so you get a proper alignment at address. Making the head smaller allowed PING to position the CG so that you get a more penetrating trajectory and less spin. Mission accomplished – I love the ball flight you get with this club.
