Insider Review - Cool look in a mid-length model   June 19, 2012

Not quite sure how I feel about the busy, angular mallet look, but I am positive that these new Metal-X Putters sound, feel and look great. The dual-layer insert provides excellent, soft feedback on every putt. Odyssey claims that small oval depressions on the outermost aluminum layer of the face create a temporary lock with the ball dimples, to help impart a more consistent roll. Meanwhile, the urethane inner layer softens impact. And it truly works. The dark finish reduces glare and looks fantastic. The look is different for me, but I hear a lot of golfers who swear by it. If you’re ready to use a mid-length putter shaft and you like the look of the head, definitely try this model up front. You may quickly fall for it.
