Insider Review - Nice   June 6, 2012

Aside from the Slingshot irons, Nike had never really impressed me with their golf club designs until a couple of years ago. For some reason, that’s about when something suddenly clicked with their fairway woods and irons. These new woods are all about helping you gain acceleration through the impact zone, to get more distance on your wood shots. And they accomplish that mission well. The company touts its “Advanced NexCOR face technology” in these, which amounts to again generating more ball speed across more of the clubface, so that even mis-hits feel and perform as if you crushed them. The clubs feel light and they perform more than adequately. But I feel they lack some of the pop of other new fairway woods out there, such as the Rocketballz and Tour Edge Exotics models. But the bottom line with fairway woods is that they have to look right to you, feel right, and perform right. And hats off to you if these work the best for you. They’ll definitely help you find your target.
