VR Pro Combo CB Irons

Change for the better. Change from pocket cavity (promotes higher trajectory on longer shots, #2 thru #5) to split-cavity (enhances control and workability, #6 thru PW) throughout the set for the optimal shot and more forgiving performance. Change to a new forging process for more precise shot-making. And change to the new high-frequency X3X grooves for better performance and more consistent distance control. Want more change? How about to your score.

NIKE Mens VR Pro Combo CB Irons feature:
  • Set includes: #3 thru PW (47°)
  • #2 iron sold separately
  • Steel shaft available in Regular or Stiff flex
  • Available in left- and right-hand

    Insider Review -   June 8, 2012

These are good game-improvement irons for someone really attached to the Swoosh. There are two types of heads here: The longer irons have a pocket cavity, which I found to truly help shots get high quickly, while the rest of the set has split cavity backs, which the company claims enhances control and workability. I guess that’s true. In my testing, I found the shorter irons to perform quite adequately. But I kind of assume that all major brand sets should have controllable short irons. What I really like about this set are the high-frequency grooves. There are more grooves per clubface, which really helps put more spin on your approach shots. You will notice that on your pitches and generally from shots within 100 yards.
