In golf, the word "hybrid" has become synonymous with a class of game improvement clubs that is a cross between an iron and a metal wood. Hybrids combine the best or most playable aspects of each. Rife Putters is now introducing the world's first hybrid putter, the TwoBar Hybrid Mallet. This putter is a combination of elements taken from the 2007 Golf Magazine "Mallet of the Year" Island Series Barbados, and the even-more-successful original TwoBar putter. The most distinct features and performance benefits from both models have been blended into one spectacular design that is a game improving hybrid product in every sense of the word.

Features:

  • TwoBar Alignment: The putter possesses two distinctive, adjustable back-weighted bars, located behind and on both sides of the hitting area. These provide golfers with a powerful and highly visible alignment feature that literally frames the ball up on a track to the hole.
  • Twin In-line MOI: Both bars include adjustable rear weights that provide twin-inline MOI, making the putter extremely stable. The Hybrid has larger circumference weight chambers which allow for shorter and wider bars than on the original TwoBar. This refinement allows for even further back weighting, giving each one its own MOI and expanding the area of forgiveness to 3/4 of an inch to either side of the center of the face, virtually eliminating mis-hits.
  • Dual Response Insert Technology: The Hybrid Mallet features an innovative aluminum and polymer insert. The 6061 aluminum face is CNC-milled and features Rife Putter's patented RollGrooves. The back of the face is made of a high durometer (responsive) polymer that is bonded to the aluminum under high pressure to create a solid, unitized insert. The combination of the gripping effect of the RollGrooves and the responsiveness of the polymer gives golfers a whole new level of distance control.

While well-known with Tour pros, this brand is a sleeper among amateurs. Its putters feel nice, and the company’s patented RollGroove putterface technology produces immediate, no-skid roll as advertised. That allows the ball to track on its intended line for good distance control. This model’s “Two-Bar Alignment” means that a pair of adjustable back-weighted bars, behind and on both sides of the hitting area. Provide a highly visible alignment feature that frames the ball up on a track to the hole. It’s easy to use and works great.
