Guerin Rife Trinidad Silver Putter Tradition meets innovation in designer Guerin Rife’s interpretation of the classic Anser style putter introduced originally back in the 1960’s and was most recently used in the 2010 Masters Tournament. As part of what is being called the Island Series line for 2010 the new “Trinidad” features Rife’s trademark vertical alignment notch and patented RollGroove face technology that produces a quicker roll and a softer feel. I’m not one for center-shafted putters, so I may not provide this an unbiased review. But the face-balanced head style is nice and traditional, the lines are clean, and the steel head is my preferred material. Rife’s patented face technology has a nice feel at impact, and it supposedly produces a truer, quicker roll. Any putter you feel confident with will help you putt better, and you may find this to be a very useful addition to your bag.
